Warm-up #1: Hammer-ons

There are many different intermediate guitar finger exercises that you can use as warm-ups. This finger exercise is ideal for training your hands to coordinate when playing hammer-ons from finger 1.

Warm-up #2: Pull-offs

This is a great intermediate-level warm-up that focuses on pull-offs. Spend some time with this finger exercise to train your hands to coordinate when playing pull-offs to finger 1.

Scale: Minor Blues Scale (Em Shape)

The minor blues scale is very similar to the minor pentatonic scale, with some additional notes. If you're interested in exploring blues riffs and soloing, this scale shape is a must-know!

Chord: A5 Power Chord Shape

The A5 power chord shape can be moved all across the neck to create power chords that are perfect for rock and metal music. This practice track will move the chord shape all over the neck so you can master this new moveable chord shape!

Technique: Bend and Release

In Level 8, we covered half and full bends. But you can also return, or release, bends to their original pitch. This technique takes some serious finger control, and is totally worth the effort!
